Last Shoot of 2011!

This year has definitely been a year of progress for me. Thanks to all the people that selected me as their photographer of choice. I leave you with a couple of images from my last shoot of 2011. My subject was nervous at first but after she relaxed we got some great images. A plus model in the making? Only time will tell. Till next year...

The Pastors

A husband and wife team of pastors reached out to me back in November. They have started a new church and needed photos for their site. That church is Ground Breakers Church International and it is located in Antioch, TN. Pastors Jerrell and Angela Beard are excellent teachers of the Bible. Be sure to visit them and be prepared to experience God!

Model Citizen Magazine

Earlier this year a very close friend, who is also like a sister to me, asked me to help her bring a dream to fruition. That dream was a unisex fashion magazine and its name is Model Citizen Magazine. This beginning stages have been both discouraging and satisfying but we still continue to work hard and persevere. Model Citizen Magazine seeks to set itself apart from other fashion, entertainment and lifestyle magazines by focusing on fashion in its rawest form. Look our for more from Model Citizen Magazine in 2012. In the meantime here are a few photos from our Summer and Fall shoots.

Tabitha and Josh

I normally stay away from engagement photos and weddings. The sentiment and emotion surrounding the photos make me uneasy. Being the perfectionist that I am I just don't feel comfortable with the responsibility of another persons cherished moment. However, this couple has made me reconsider. Tabitha and Josh are a wonderful couple to be around. Not only is their love genuine and true there is a great friendship there. At first I was apprehensive but now I am honored that they chose me to do their engagement photos. Here are some of my favorite shots.

Sunset

Here's a sunset I caught while visiting Arrington Vineyards.

Mwangi Dean

A few months back I traveled to Charlotte, North Carolina to shoot photos of a friend who is an up and coming NASCAR driver, Mwangi Dean. He and I traveled to Revolution Racing, where we given the run of the shop. Revolution Racing, owned by former Verity Records executive Max Siegel, has set out to diversify NASCAR. Mwangi participated in their summer Drive for Diversity program back in 2010.
Support Mwangi Dean in his dream as he sets out to become one of the few African-American drivers in NASCAR. Visit his site at mwangidean.bbnow.org and follow him on twitter @mwangidean
